Lightweights must wear bigger gloves in Nevada

Beginning on August 1, Boxers from Lightweight (135 lbs) and up will be required to wear 10 ounce gloves if they plan on fighting in Nevada. Previously the mandatory 10 ounce glove rule was required for anyone fighting at Welterweight (147 lbs) or higher. Seven of the eight fighters who died in Nevada boxing matches weighed between 140 and 147 lbs.

Other rule changes include the use of Gatorade in the ring. Click here to read more.
