Some very sad news regarding MMA Fighter and Boxer Shelby Walker:
I just got the news a little while ago and I am numb. Shelby Walker was found dead – believed to have overdosed on some pain medication last night. This story is confirmed. She was a wonderful person who inspired many people. However she succumbed to personal demons. Shelby was loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
i cant put into words the feeling I got this morning when I got the news.
I am praying for her and I hope that you all will be too. Shelby should be remembered as the fun loving beautiful person who was the life of any party and got to live her dream. There is so much about her life people never got to know. I had the privilege of managing her and befriending her and watching her fight 2 world champions and experienced with her the thrill of victory and agony of defeat.

I know Shelby will be looking down on all of us from heaven.

well i never knew this girl but my deepest sympathy goes out to her and her loved ones.. i alone have struggled with the pressures of having lost one too many loved ones due to the drugs. all it takes is one time too many. i overcame a drug addiction of weed pills and alcohol from the time i was 13 till about 22 yrs old. i finally became sober and i will be boxing in the next olympics and have been doing mma(mixed martial arts) throughout japan and brazilian chute boxing ever since my first bout as an amatuer. i was a nobody 2 yrs ago and didnt even know myself now i know i have something worth life and it feels good.i hope any that read this will share the inspiration that can be true and also the sadness of shelbys mishap.
